Having a baby or searching for a new Pediatrician?

Baby smilingEveryone at Jamestown Pediatric Associates is eager to assist parents in encouragement of the healthy, happy and confident growth of their children, our patients. It is very important that a true partnership between parents and their child’s health care providers exists through a long-term trusting relationship, so the child may be assured compassionate, coordinated, and comprehensive care. Your child or children are equally important to us as they are to you. We are pleased to answer any specific questions you have regarding becoming a new patient, or the upcoming birth of your baby. You may call any time during office hours with questions or to set up a new patient first visit. You may also set up an appointment to meet with one of our providers before your baby is born and tour the facility.

Newborn Care

If you are expecting, you will want your baby to be examined following his/her arrival. Please contact our office prior to your expected delivery date to provide us with some important information and to discuss any concerns you may have.

Generally, babies are to be seen by a pediatrician at 3–4 days of age. A newborn exam often includes a review of the delivery record, a head-to-toe examination, blood tests and proper immunizations. We will also be glad to answer any questions you may have about breastfeeding, feeding schedules, and other matters concerning caring for your baby once you return home.

Please refer to Patient Info for more guides and schedules on the care of your children.

We look forward to being your child’s health care provider.
